Sexy, Smoky Eye Makeup for Big Eyes

By: Jennifer Kalman
TIP FROM A MAKEUP PROFESSIONAL:
Want Sexy, Smoky Eyes?  Here's How!

The first step to sexy smoky eyes is, of course, eyeliner!  You can use either a pencil or a liquid.  I suggest drawing a thin line in either a black or dark brown color....following along the top eyelash line (OR you can apply eyeliner from the top inner corner to top outer corner of the eyes), whichever you like best.  Then add a bit of eyeliner underneath the eye in the outside corner.  Note:  Avoid ringing the eye with eyeliner, as this can make the eyes appear smaller.

IMPORTANT MAKEUP COLOR PRINCIPLE:  Lighter colors create fullness and highlight an area, while darker colors create depth and definition.

Let's continue creating those smoky eyes with eye shadows next!  Try using a medium-toned shadow on the lid, then a dark-toned eye shadow color on the outer corners of the eyelid, in the eyelid crease under the browbone, and in the corners underneath the eye (eyeshadow applied over your eyeliner); see the illustration below.  A lighter shadow can be applied softly directly underneath the eyebrow as a highlighter.

Here is an illustration of where to apply a medium-toned eye shadow (Silverado) and two darker-toned eye shadows (Navajo Brown, Slate blended together) in the corner and eyelid crease under the browbone.  The three QDazzle(TM) eye shadow tones used here are "Silverado" Frosty Eye Shadow, "Navajo Brown" and "Slate" Matte Eye Shadows.

Dramatic Look

Of course, curling your eyelashes will help show off your eyes too!  Next apply your eyelash conditioner, let dry, then apply your mascara.  You can use several coats of mascara (letting each coat dry thoroughly before applying the next coat helps avoid clumping).  For extra drama, as a final touch try a fun pair of sexy false eyelashes!

For more illustrations to guide you with your eye makeup, visit the QDazzleProm.com website and click the link "Dress Color Packages".  Select the shade of your outfit or gown and you will see both Natural and Dramatic makeup illustrations.
For further step-by-step application help for each product within the "Dress Color Packages" section, just become a QDazzle(TM) member (it's free) and gain access to Advanced Makeup Tips and Techniques too!  By using the illustrations along with the highly-pigmented QDazzle(TM) makeup colors, you can create your own 'professionally done' makeup look!!

Fresher look on summer

Teen Makeup: Looks to Match Your Every MoodHi, I found these somewhere in the internet. I think it's good  makeup application techniques for the hottest season of the year:

1. Instead of foundation, use sunscreen as your base and put loose powder on top. Not only will your skin be able to breathe, you’ll be protecting yourself against those harsh rays!

2. Try brown eyeliner/mascara instead of black for a softer look. Summer is all about looking natural–give it a whirl!
3. Brush some sheer shimmer shadow on your temples for a dewey glow–it will compliment your natural summer luminescence!

4. Stock up on lip gloss or lip balm with an SPF–it will add to your natural sparkle.

5. Most importantly, make sure you feel like YOU. Makeup should compliment your features, not hide them.

Why not to try and enjoy out your summer look!

Hot and Trendy Fashion For Fall/winter 2010/11

Fall is here and winter is just around the corner, so it’s time to consider whether your wardrobe needs updating. This article looks at some of the key fashion trends for fall/winter 2010/2011.

Skinny leg pants and leggings
Narrow leg pants are still very much the “it” leg style. You will find lots of skinny leg and cigarette style pants in fabrics like suede, denim, cord, wool flannel and stretch cotton. For the ultimate in comfort, leggings are a great option. They are now available in a wide array of options from jeggings styles that look like jeans, multiple colors and prints, right through to styles that feature decorative touches like lace panels down the side. Ski pants or stirrup bottom leggings are also making a comeback.

2010 fall great legging and cardigan

Heavy metal inspired looksMetal components are being integrated into many different fashion looks. You will find hardware related items like; studs, eyelets, metal bars and chunky decorative zips on everything from belts to bags, tops and denim creations. Several styles look to take their inspiration from chain mail.

Boyfriend style jackets and cardigans
The menswear inspired boyfriend style jacket or cardigan is back with a vengeance. It’s comfy, slouchy fit is the perfect partner to leggings and skinny leg pants. They look good worn with a skinny belt or two. Or you could try partnering them with a feminine dress from your summer wardrobe and extend its life. If you have a full tummy they look great worn alone, because they don’t cling to the waist and highlight this area.
Clothing with mixed fabric combinations
Lots of designers are using contrasting fabrics in their designs. For example, jersey fabric combined with denim, leather with wool shearling, and sheer chiffon with wool.

Wedge or platform heels
Whether it be a pair of boots, pumps, or loafers, a platform or wedge heel is the way to go if you want to be on trend. The great thing about these styles is that they tend to be much easier to walk in than stiletto heels. However, make sure you only choose a height you feel confident walking in.
Printed hosiery
Last winter there was a real creative explosion in legwear styles. This season stockings, knee highs and stay ups are just as creative. You will find a wide variety of different prints available. Some distinct offerings include; bandage style prints, mixed prints that change part way up the legs (like Missoni Knit mix tights), sheer styles with tattoo like prints, and vintage inspired styles with back seams.

Fur pieces
Fur pieces are popping up all around the place in both accessories and garments. You’ll find both genuine and faux styles available, depending on your beliefs. Popular accessory styles include; hats, neckpieces and even headbands. Popular clothing items include; jackets and vests.

Thigh high boots
Above the knee boots are just as popular as they were last winter. If you already bought a pair, you in luck because they should fit right in. If you liked them last season, but weren’t ready to take the plunge, here’s your second chance.

If you have some spare cash to lash out on a few new pieces, enjoy shopping for fall/winter 2010/11 pieces!
